Nampa ID -  The (6-3) #2 seed Idaho Horsemen hosted the (5-4) #3 seed Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks in the 2022 AWFC Playoff game.  The Horsemen, the favorite to head into the American West Bowl III,  just came off-putting up 92 points versus Oregon but lost to the Skyhawks 60-39 the week before for the first time ever in franchise history.

The game started off with each team trading touchdowns 6-6, 12-12, 18-18 before the Skyhawks opened it before halftime 42-26.

The Skyhawks came out of halftime and kept hitting the endzone touchdown after touchdown eventually going up by 40 points 72-32 by the end of the 3rd quarter.    The Horsemen's defense soon showed up and the Offense decided to turn it on as the Horsemen went on a 38-8 run in the fourth quarter but came up 10 points short ending the match with a 70-80 loss.  This is the first year that the Horsemen will not be in the Championship game
