xciting News: Austin Schaffer Returns to Lead the Idaho Horsemen in 2024!

We are thrilled to announce the return of former Southern Oregon University QB/WR, Austin Schaffer, for the upcoming 2024 season.

As the 2023 AWFC league MVP, Austin steered the Idaho Horsemen to our second Championship victory in just four seasons. This exceptional talent, an Elite 11 Quarterback from Columbia High School, made his way to the Horsemen in 2022 after a hiatus from football after his college endeavors. 

In 2022, Austin competed fiercely for the starting role and eventually led the team into the playoffs, narrowly missing our third Championship appearance.

Having tasted the excitement of Arena football, Austin made the decision to rejoin the Horsemen in 2023, boasting an impressive 8-1 record. His leadership, respect from teammates and coaches, and seamless understanding of Coach Reynolds's play calling have allowed us to deploy the swift and dynamic AIR RAID Offense.

Austin is now prepared to lead the charge once more,  as we enter the National Arena League.
