Wenatchee WA -  The (1-0) Idaho Horsemen traveled to Wenatchee, Washington to take on the (0-0) Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks in a rematch of the 2022 AWFC Playoff game.  The Horsemen proceeded to take the opening drive in for a score going up 6-0 after a failed 2pt conversion.  During pre-game both respective kickers practicing on opposite ends experienced the same result after hitting the upright and shattering both goal post enabling them to be used during the match.

After going into half-time 12-20 Skyhawks, the Horsemen scored first in the second half bringing the score to 20-20.  The Skyhawks proceeded to score the next couple of touchdowns going up 20-32, not converting on each of the 2pt conversion.

Heading into the 4th Quarter the Horsemen battled back taking the lead 34-32.  With 3 minutes remaining in the game, the pursuing kickoff was returned for a touchdown by the Skyhawks re-taking the lead 34-38.  With 2 time-outs and the 1 minute warning remaining, the Horsemen threw an interception where the Skyhawk could have sealed the deal, but with good time management  and good defense, the Horsemen got the ball back with 1 second remaining on the clock.  With one more heave the end-zone, the Skyhawks where able to knock the ball down locking in their first victory of the season.

The Horsemen moves to (1-1) on the season after this tough loss and will be taking on the Cali Gold based out of Sacramento, California April, 15 at the Ford Idaho Center.   Saturday night's game will show our appreciation for our First Responders.
