TRI-CITY HORSEMEN FIND NEW HOME AT BUFFALO COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Organization pivots to new Kearney venue as preparations continue for 2027 season
KEARNEY, NEBRASKA — The Tri-City Horsemen have a new home.
The organization announced that the Buffalo County Fairgrounds & Expo Center will serve as the home of Tri-City Horsemen football as the team prepares to bring professional arena football to Kearney in 2027.
The move comes after the Horsemen elected to pivot from their previously planned venue following proposed changes to contract terms during the final stages of the agreement.
This decision opened the door to the Buffalo County Fairgrounds & Expo Center — an opportunity the Horsemen believe could ultimately provide the organization with a unique home and atmosphere of its own.
For the Horsemen, the most important part of the decision was remaining in Kearney and the Tri-City community.
“Kearney is where we decided to be,” Reynolds added. “That has never changed. We’ve already started developing relationships with businesses and people throughout this community, and we’re committed to continuing that work. The building may have changed, but our plans for the Horsemen and our commitment to this area have not.”
Now, the focus turns completely toward transforming Landmark Implement Arena & the Buffalo County Fairgrounds & Expo into the home of the Horsemen and preparing for a 2027 kickoff. The organization would love to continue gathering more community support throughout this relocation process. The community will be able to watch the building process of the team via social media over the next several months.
The Tri-City Horsemen will enter their seventh season as an organization in 2027, carrying a tradition that includes two championships, three championship appearances, and a commitment to bringing championship-caliber football to Central Nebraska.
Details surrounding the Horsemen’s home schedule, season tickets, corporate partnerships, special game-day features, and plans for the Buffalo County Fairgrounds will be released in the coming months.
A new city. A new home. A new chapter. Same Horsemen.
